Perfect in Weakness

     Hello! I do not know all the rules to blogging, but I thought I would give it a try anyway. Everyone seems to have an opinion these days for just about anything, so I thought I would put my two cents in too! But the difference here will be that it will be from a Christian's point of view. Yes! I am a born-again believer in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yes, I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I am not a shame to say it! I will not mention my denomination, because those who claim Jesus as their Savior we are brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. This is true whether we are Baptist, Pentecostal, AME, etc. The only thing that separates us is DOCTRINE, and this is man-made regulations (this may become a topic for a blog!). We are all striving to get to that one place which we call --- Heaven!

 

       I am always reminded of the apostle Paul when he is writing to the Philippians (I am paraphrasing these verses) to forget those things which are behind and reach for those things which are before. Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect be thus minded: and if any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. (Philippians 3:13,14,15). The apostle wants us to forget our past guilt and not rely on our achievements, but look to Christ, who is the ultimate prize. As mature Christians we realize we are not perfect, but we are pressing onward to higher spiritual attainments. So, we have not arrived yet! We still have more maturing to do in Christ Jesus. For our strength is made perfect in weakness through the Lord.

 

        So, I'm writing this blog not just to put my two cents in, but to just enlighten my fellow brothers and sisters. I am sure what I may blog about someone else has already done it, but maybe there are a few more perspective views still out there. God Bless!
